| The composer Karlheinz Stockhausen passed away on December 5th 2007 at his home in Kuerten-Kettenberg and will be buried in the Waldfriedhof (forest cemetery) in Kuerten.
On Thursday, December 13th 2007, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. it will be possible to personally say farewell to Karlheinz Stockhausen in the chapel of the Waldfriedhof in Kuerten (Kastanienstrasse). |

| Leontios Hadjileontiadis has won an Honourable Mention at the 2006 International Competition of Musical Personalities, organised by the Alexander Tansman Association for the Promotion of Culture under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Poland. His work "Octonions" for orchestral ensemble was selected among 401 candidates from 51 countries by an international jury consisting of renowned composers such as K. Penderecki, H. Holliger, M. Nyman and Z. Krauze.
